Thursday, April 9 from 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
If you are interested in being creative, meeting people, learning new skillz, and thriving between now and spring, then Office Hours is for you. Each class will have a variety of offerings such as watercolour, clay, oil painting, acrylic painting, collage, drawing, or sculpture, with brief tutorials by founder Julia Dault and lots of time for exploration and creative play. You can also bring long-neglected projects or new ideas and get them rolling, using Hot Pizza as your studio space. All levels and abilities are welcome! We’ll serve coffee and tea; feel free to bring snacks!
Sunday, April 12 from 2–4 p.m.
All Ages! (kids + adults, side X side)
Bring your own totes, tea towels, or t-shirts to class! We’ll explore relief printmaking using rubber and lino blocks to create prints on textiles and paper. Through guided demonstrations, students learn tool handling, registration, and reduction. Participants will leave with decorative (and even functional!) pieces while gaining the skills and confidence to continue printmaking independently. Taught by the amazing Paul Dotey! The class fee is for one adult and one child. If you’d like to add an additional kid-attendee, then click here. At 134 Osler Street location.
Saturday, April 11 from 10–11:30 a.m.
Ages 3–6
This is a chance for the youngest Hot Pizza generation to find their creative voices and see themselves in what they do. Projects vary from drawing and painting to collage and sculpture. We’ll make a variety of fun creations that celebrate the imagination and build skills. Grown-ups drink coffee or tea and make collages while the kids make art! At 134 Osler Street location.
