Reward yourself or the adults in your life! Creativity = Joy
Sunday, March 22 from 7–9:30 p.m.
Join us in welcoming the new season with intention. Connect with your creativity, consider what you would like to welcome into your life, and transition (finally!) into spring. This is an opportunity for vision boarding, listening to your creative intuition, and contemplating this exciting season. Supplies will be provided. You are encouraged to bring additional magazines, books, or any papers that you’d like to use or share with the group. If the ticket cost is a barrier to your attendance, we have a few free spots available that we provide on a first-come first-serve basis. Please email us!
Thursday, March 26 from 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
If you are interested in being creative, meeting people, learning new skillz, and thriving between now and spring, then Office Hours is for you. Each class will have a variety of offerings such as watercolour, clay, oil painting, acrylic painting, collage, drawing, or sculpture, with brief tutorials by founder Julia Dault and lots of time for exploration and creative play. You can also bring long-neglected projects or new ideas and get them rolling, using Hot Pizza as your studio space. All levels and abilities are welcome! We’ll serve coffee and tea; feel free to bring snacks!
Saturday, March 28 from 10–12 p.m.
Ages 7–99
Join our very popular knitting class and learn how to knit with our resident expert Sandra Moretti! For all levels! Bring your own knitting needles and yarn (so that you can take them with you after class to keep working!). You’ll leave with lifelong skills and skeins and skeins of confidence. If you’re new to knitting: the best needles for beginners are straight, bamboo needles in sizes 5 mm–7mm—or if you already have yarn, check the label and it will indicate the right size needles to use. For yarn, a bulky-weight wool blend is best, but a medium worsted weight will work, too. These are available at any craft or knitting store.
Only 3 spots left!
Saturday, March 28 from 7:30–9:30 p.m.
Practice your drawing skills while meeting cool people AND amassing a unique collection of portraits of YOU! Every skill level is welcome and no experience is required. Speed is key, meaning there is no time for perfectionism, over-analysis, or being too precious. We practice drawing each other, together, and while doing so have great conversations and deepen our collective understanding of our uniqueness. You’ll see: this will be deeply freeing and joyful! Taught by Hot Pizza faculty Danielle Taschereau Mamers.

We’ll be mixing media this time, incorporating pencil and pencil crayon work. Hot Pizza will provide supplies during class! Also, best hot date ever. Taught by she-with-the-cult-following Sarah Aranha.

Do you love receiving something in the mail other than fast-food coupons and real-estate listings? So do your friends! Be the pal that writes first by joining the Hot Pizza Correspondence Club. We’ll start with a round of introductions, then we’ll spend about two hours in good company writing cards and letters; trading stickers, washi, ink, and paper; and enjoying good music. We’ll offer some supplies. You can bring some of your own. And if you need it, we’ll run your letters to the post office on Monday. Led by Brian Sholis.
