Led by the wonderful Madeleine Bell—whose deep sewing knowledge is genuinely amazing—this class transforms Hot Pizza into a buzzing sewing atelier! We’ll explore hand-sewing, machine-sewing, embroidery, knitting, and playful projects like handmade scrunchies, then bring it all together in a capstone sewing project of each student’s own design. Think: a stuffed animal, a fashion piece, a cozy accessory, or something totally unexpected. All levels welcome! No sewing experience required—just curiosity! Oh! And actual hot pizza is served on the last day of class! Note: students must provide their own fabric for the capstone project. Runs September 14, 21, and 28; October 5, 19, 26; November 2.
