Each student invents and develops an entirely original world—and everything it needs to function. They’ll draw maps, create passports and currencies, develop characters and costumes, write charters of rights, design flags and national symbols, and participate in import–export trade negotiations with their classmates’ worlds. Through drawing, sculpture, printmaking, collage, performance, storytelling, and imaginative problem-solving, students explore how a world is organized and brought to life. Each week adds new layers, details, challenges, and possibilities to their individual creations. Oh! And actual hot pizza will be served in the last class! Runs November 9, 16, 23, and 30; December 7 and 14. At 1152 College Street.
