XL Comics—Grades 1–5

$299.00

Thursdays from 4–6 p.m. at 134 Osler Street
For 6 WEEKS starting May 7 - REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 10!
Students learn how images and words work together to tell strong visual stories—from character design and expressions to settings, panels, and pacing. Using drawing alongside materials like cardboard, clay, and foam core, students will build worlds inspired by their own comics, as well as idea-creation stations, their own (actually interesting!) brain “rot” characters, and more. This class develops storytelling skills, visual literacy, problem-solving, and creative confidence while encouraging experimentation and imaginative thinking. Taught by the amazing Mike Ellis, of Pieces of Eights fame. Oh! And actual hot pizza will be served in the last class! Runs May 7, 14, 21, 28; June 4 and 11. At our 134 Osler Street location.
